Patna:
As the election fever grips Bihar, there are tussles to get party tickets. There were many ugly protests by disgruntled party workers cutting across party lines.
Angry JD(U) workers, whose candidates didn't get tickets, bared all in their protest.
At the Congress office, party workers have been on a hunger strike for the last 10 days saying the ticket distribution was unfair. Five party offices across Bihar ere set on fire.
"If the tickets distribution is not looked at, the Congress should forget about winning any seats in Bihar," said Rana Pratap Singh, leader, Congress.
Even the RJD, a party where Lalu Yadav is seen to be the undisputed leader, has not been spared.
Just a few days ago, perhaps for the first time in the party's history, angry RJD workers burnt an effigy of Lalu right outside the party headquarters.
The RJD office is locked most of the time and Lalu Yadav has been holding his press conferences from hotels in the city.
"What can I do about people who are hell bent on creating trouble for the party," said Lalu Yadav, president, RJD.
