Dehradun:
Chief Minister B C Khanduri will continue in the post in the event of the BJP returning to power in Uttarakhand in the assembly election, senior party leader Rajnath Singh said on Saturday.
"Khanduri will remain Chief Minister if we form our own government," Singh, in-charge of party's election affairs in the hill state, told reporters.
On Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid promising nine per cent sub-quota for Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, he accused the Congress of creating a wedge in society in the name of religion.
The BJP would oppose any such "unconstitutional" move, he asserted.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's recent explanation to the Election Commission was also unprecedented, Rajnath Singh said.
He opposed the FDI in retail saying all the BJP-ruled states would not allow this.
