Denied ticket, former MLA quits Shiv Sena

Mumbai: The saffron allies may have been one step ahead of the Congress and NCP in announcing their candidates, but now both parties are grappling with the rebels.

Former MLA Pradeep Jaiswal is the latest to quit the Shiv Sena after being denied a ticket from Aurangabad.

This comes a day after supporters of MLA Sada Sarvankar protested against Manohar Joshi, accusing him of blocking Sarvankar's claim for the Mahim seat.

The Shiv Sena has delayed announcing candidates for Mahim and Dindoshi.
