Bangalore:
Congress on Monday asked its partymen in Karnataka to create awareness among voters in three assembly constituencies going to bypolls on April 9 about "body shopping" indulged in by the ruling BJP, which it said has forced the elections.
There was a need to give a befitting reply to BJP in the byelections, AICC General Secretary Sanjay Nirupam, in-charge of Karnataka, told a preparatory meeting convened by the party.
Congress General Secretary Madhusoodhan Mistry said the BJP was under an illusion that it could win election by using money power.
He said the party would appoint other office bearers to the state unit after the byelection.
