Names of the BJP's possible chief ministerial picks for Maharashtra sparked a buzz just before voting began in the state on Wednesday. According to sources Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Khadse are among the frontrunners for Maharashtra. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Fadnavis, who heads the BJP in Maharashtra, said that making Prime Minister Narendra Modi the face of state polls was the party's strategy.
