Modi Wave Will Destroy Like Cyclone Hudhud, Said This Rival

Modi Wave Will Destroy Like Cyclone Hudhud, Said This Rival
It will cause some destruction, but no need to get worried, Nitish Kumar said.
Patna: On a day the BJP gained control of two Congress bastions - Maharashtra and Haryana - and declared that the Modi wave does indeed exist, former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar liked the Prime Minister to Cyclone Hudhud.

"It will cause some destruction, but no need to get worried about it," Mr Kumar said without naming the Prime Minister.

The comparison marks a shift of sorts in the former CM's stance.

Earlier, he compared Mr Modi to wind from a blower. But now, the BJP victory in the two states has given the Modi effect some intensity, he indicated.

His comment also poked fun at BJP chief Amit Shah's earlier remark.

While addressing the media just after the results were declared, Mr Shah had said, "Today's results show the Modi wave is still the tsunami that can crush all competition". It was proved beyond doubt that, "the people in India consider Narendra Modi their undisputed leader".

The BJP had gone it alone in the elections banking solely on what it calls the Modi wave.

Opponents like the Congress and erstwhile ally Shiv Sena had repeatedly questioned its existence. Mr Shah had pointed out that the results of the election vindicated the party.
