Jaipur: The filing of nominations for the December 1 Assembly polls in Rajasthan ended today, with more than 2,847 candidates, including those of ruling Congress and opposition BJP, submitting their papers.
On the last day, more than 1,585 candidates submitted their papers, sources in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer said.
The final tally of filed nominations would be available later tonight as the district RO were compiling the data on the official web site, the sources said.
Tally of other parties' candidates were being compiled, the sources said.
Scrutiny of nomination papers would take place tomorrow, November 13, and the withdrawal of nomination will be allowed till November 16.
