Police seize weapons from poll-bound Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: More weapons were seized by the the police in the poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh. The police recovered a number of guns and bullets and a known arms dealer, Tajesh Tiwari, is being questioned

The police have stepped up vigil in the state due to the upcoming elections.

As many as 91 illegal fire arms were seized earlier.  Five thousand litres of illegal liquor have been recovered from Lalitpur, Moradabad and Varanasi.

Besides, cash worth Rs 5.2 lakh was seized by the flying squad recently.
