New Delhi: People can watch live webcast of the actual polling process in remote and inaccessible polling stations in Arunachal Pradesh, thanks to IT revolution.
The Election Commission has made special arrangements for the live coverage of the process in 11 polling stations in as many assembly constituencies situated in far-flung areas in the state.
This has been done to keep a close watch on polling process instead of the usual videography method, which results in delay in taking any action, an EC spokesman said.
"This is a big innovation as live video images are seen in real time from remote polling stations," the Commission said.
