Rajasthan polls: 151 candidates file nomination on Day 4

Jaipur: As many as 151 candidates, including 20 of BJP and 14 of Congress, today filed their papers on the fourth day of filing of nominations for the December 1 Assembly elections in Rajasthan.

Former Union Minister Natwar Singh's son Jagat Singh filed his nomination papers on BJP ticket from the Kaman Assembly segment in Bharatpur district, while Rajasthan Minister Mahendra Jeet Singh Malviya filed his papers from the Bagidora constituency.

Sitting BJP MLA Rajendra Singh Rathore filed his papers from the Churu Assembly seat.

Of the 151 candidates, 20 were of BJP, 14 of Congress, BSP 16, CPI(M) 12 , NPP 4, CPI 2 and SP 1, and Independents and others 82.

The last date of filing nomination papers is November 12 while the scrutiny of papers will be done the next day (November 13). The last date to withdraw nominations is November 16.
