Bhopal:
Since the model code of conduct for the Assembly polls came into force in Madhya Pradesh, the Election Commission's flying squad and Static Surveillance Team (SST) have seized over Rs 1.24 crore in cash.
The flying squad and SST teams received 45 complaints about unaccounted cash and other things and 58 FIRs were registered, a release from the Chief Electoral's office said.
A total of Rs 1,24,74,417 has been seized.
As per the Commission's directive, nobody is allowed to carry more than Rs 50,000 in cash.
