Chandigarh:
The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), led by Simranjit Singh Mann, today released its first list of 45 candidates for the upcoming assembly election in Punjab.
Releasing the list, Mann said "Khalistan" would be the party's main plank in the election.
A decision on his contesting the election would be announced soon, he said.
Mann accused the ruling SAD and main opposition Congress of dumping Sikh issues for their lust for power.
"Issues like the transfer of Chandigarh and Punjabi speaking areas, the water problem and justice for victims of 1984 riots have been put aside by these parties," he said.
Punjab had witnessed no development under SAD-BJP and Congress regimes, Mann alleged.
