Poll-bound Jharkhand gearing up for its second phase slated for December 2, will witness hectic campaigning with AICC President and Vice President Sonia and Rahul Gandhi besides, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visiting the state over the next two days.
AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will address election rallies in Kolhan region of Jharkhand beginning tomorrow where polling for 13 assembly segments are slated on December 2 in the second-phase of the five-phase assembly poll.
AICC leader and Jharkhand in-charge of the party, BK Hariprasad, who was accompanied by JPCC President Sukhdeo Bhagat, said today that Rahul Gandhi will address two election rallies in Chaibasa and Jagannathpur constituencies in adjoining West Singhbhum district tomorrow.
A day after, Sonia Gandhi will address an election meeting in Patamda in East Singhbhum district, he said adding that the AICC President's meeting was schedule at 2.30 pm on
November 29.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also scheduled to campaign in the steel city of Jamshedpur on Saturday at Gopal Maidan.
While PM Modi had already addressed a public meeting in support of party candidates on November 25 at Chaibasa, it was the maiden election meeting of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in Kolhan divison comprising East and West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharswan districts in the on-going assembly polls.
Barring Ichagarh constituency in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan, polling for the 13 assembly segments in Kolhan was slated on December 2 while Ichargarh will go to poll in the third phase.
