New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi missed out on addressing a rally in Uttarakhand for the second time as her chopper could not take off due to bad weather on Wednesday.
The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson was supposed to address a rally in Haldwani district of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Uttarakhand, which is due to hold assembly elections on January 30.
In November, Gandhi couldn't address a rally in Gauchar area of Chamoli district of the state as she ran fever.
Wednesday's rally was to be the Congress president's first since the government failed to pass the Lokpal bill in parliament. The non-passage of the bill is likely to be one of the issues in the upcoming assembly polls in five states with activists from Team Anna planning to campaign against the Congress.
