Chennai:
After it became clear that Jayalalithaa and her AIADMK have been voted into power in Tamil Nadu, the DMK, which has lost the elections, said, "It's the people's verdict. We will have to analyse."
A spokesperson for the DMK which contested the elections in alliance with the Congress said the results were baffling. "We don't know what's in people's mind. Jayalalithaa has not performed", said TKS Ilangovan.
In a weak attempt at bravado, he added, "We are not yet ruling out government formation."
Jayalalithaa and her allies who include actor-politician Vijaykanth and his DMDK, have easily crossed the half-way mark of 118 in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
