Tripura Chief Minister to campaign in West Bengal elections

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will campaign for Left Front candidates in Howrah and South and North 24-Parganas districts in poll-bound West Bengal.

"The CPI-M led Left Front will come back to power and form the government for the eighth term. A section of the media is spreading confusion among the people and projecting that the Left Front would be defeated by the Congress-Trinamool Congress alliance," Sarkar told reporters in Agartala on Tuesday.

The chief minister, who will leave for West Bengal on Wednesday, had campaigned in Assam, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
