Uttar Pradesh votes in the third phase tomorrow and the biggest political guns are out campaigning in the heartland. Rae Bareli is the hot spot today. Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi held a joint rally in the afternoon there. BJP president Nitin Gadkari is also expected to hold one in the afternoon.
Rae Bareli also saw Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav delivering a speech in the party's last bid to woo voters.
Law Minister Salman Khurshid also held a rally in Farukkabad. The union minister was accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and former actress Nagma in the rally.
The BJP also has Lucknow plans today. The country's favourite daughter-in-law-turned-politico Smriti Irani will hold a rally in Lucknow as will former party president and UP leader Rajnath Singh.
PTI adds: Campaigning for the third phase of the UP Assembly elections ended yesterday. Polling will be held tomorrow in 56 assembly constituencies over 10 districts - CSM Nagar, Sultanpur, Kaushambi, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra.
The third phase will decide the fate of three cabinet ministers, one minister of state, 29 sitting MLAs, 14 former ministers, BJP Legislative Party Leader Om Prakash Singh and former Vidhan Sabha speaker Kesari Nath Tripathi.
