Just a week ahead of polling in Uttarakhand, a huge haul of black money worth Rs 43 lakh has been recovered in the state.
Authorities found the cash late last night from two vehicles in Dehradun and Ramnagar. The money was allegedly being ferried for poll-related activities in Champawat and Khatime constituencies.
Three persons have been detained in connection with the case.
Officials from the Election Commission, Income Tax Department and the police have launched a probe into the incident.
