As election season nears, politicians have started covering the length and breadth of the country as part of their poll campaigns.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi kickstarted the party's election campaign in Haryana by addressing a public rally in Karnal.
Sonia was flanked on stage by Kumari Selja and Bhupinder Singh Hooda. As per the schedule, Sonia Gandhi would tour the state twice ahead of the October 13 Assembly poll and address four rallies.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi would join the campaign late next week.
