Aurangabad:
The dawn-to-dusk 'Aurangabad Bandh' called by opposition RJD today evoked partial response with major shops and business establishments downing their shutters.
The bandh was called to protest against the killing of a village head Devendra Kumar Singh alias Chotu under Haspura police station in Aurangabad district on April 29.
The bandh supporters brought out processions in the Aurangabad town to force closure of shops and business establishments, official sources said.
They later blocked the Grand Trunk road in Aurangabad disrupting movement of vehicular traffic.
Government offices and banks, however, functioned as usual.
More than 60 bandh supporters were taken into custody for trying to enforce the bandh.
