
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is now on sale in India and is priced at Rs. 5.29 (ex-showroom), which is an increase in price of Rs. 5,000 over the outgoing model. But there are no changes to the motorcycle in terms of design and mechanical updates. In fact, there are no new colour schemes on offer either. The motorcycle is offered in just one colour in India, which is Metallic Carbon Grey. At present, its nearest rival is the very popular Aprilia RS 457.

The motorcycle continues to get a 451 cc parallel-twin engine, which is liquid-cooled and makes 45 hp at 9,000 rpm along with peak torque output of 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The motorcycle continues to get a steel trellis frame, 41 mm telescopic fork with 120 mm travel and a rear monoshock with 130 mm travel, which is adjustable for preload. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 145 mm and seat height of 785 mm. It weighs in at 157 kg dry.

It has a 310 mm single disc up front with a twin-piston calliper and a 220 mm disc at the rear, with a single-piston calliper. ABS of course, is standard. The Ninja 500 continues to get smartphone connectivity along with Kawasaki's patent ErgoFit system, which allows riders to tweak the ergonomics on the motorcycle according to their liking, to find the best possible riding position.
