2025 KTM 390 Adventure will launch on January 30
KTM 390 Adventure has been in the headlines for quite a while now, with people waiting for the launch. Ending the wait, the brand has now confirmed via its social media platform that the bike will launch in India on January 30. With this launch, the brand will expand the line of its adventure bikes in the Indian market. It is worth mentioning that this line of 390 bikes includes the likes of the 390 Enduro R which was unveiled alongside the 390 Adventure S at the India Bike Week held in Goa.
Diving into the details, the KTM 390 Adventure S will carry forward the legacy of the 390 Adventure sold in the Indian market. With this version, the bike brings a host of updates compared to its predecessor. These changes can be seen in the design and mechanics of the machine. All of this is aimed at improving the ride and capabilities of the bike.

The adventure bike gets the signature KTM looks with vertically stacked headlamps surrounded by DRLs. It gets a high beak with a single-piece seat with a design of the shrouds that make it look like a rally bike. All of this is supported by the trellis frame suspended on a WP Apex USD fork with 43 mm travel and a preload adjustable WP mono shock at the rear end. The bike gets 21 and 17-inch wire spoke wheels which will likely be wrapped in tubeless tires. Braking is the responsibility of disc brakes at both ends with switchable dual-channel ABS.
The bike also comes with a long list of features including a TFT display, which lets the rider adjust features like traction control, cornering ABS, and different ride modes. To top it off, the Austrian manufacturer is also offering cruise control on the bike. This is the first time a bike in the segment in the Indian market will have this feature.
At heart, the KTM 390 Adventure S will have a 399 cc liquid-cooled engine which is tuned to produce 45 hp of power and 39 Nm of torque at the peak of its performance. All of this puts the bike in the pit against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
