Maruti Suzuki recently launched the updated version of its hybrid SUV, the Grand Vitara, in the Indian market. In its 2025 iteration, the SUV will be sold at a starting price of Rs 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with a host of changes. These alterations in the list of features are aimed at improving its position in the market against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and others. Here, we take a look at these changes.

New Variant

The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has gained a new Delta+ strong hybrid variant. This new variant will be retailed at a starting price of Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, the SUV is now available in a total of 18 variants. It is to be noted that the most expensive of these is the Alpha AT Dual Tone with a price tag of Rs 20.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

AWD Variants get AT

The brand is now offering the ALLGRIP Select technology with six-speed automatic transmission. In other words, the all-wheel-drive system, which was previously available with five-speed automatic transmission, will now get a six-speed unit.

New Alloy Wheels

While the brand has kept the design of the vehicle the same as the previous model, they have made changes to the design of the wheel for a refreshed appeal. Specifically, the 17-inch alloy wheels now get a different appearance with slightly different shapes for the spokes, which seem to be slightly more sporty compared to the previous ones.

Safety Upgrade

All trims now come with standard six airbags: front, side, and curtain. Along with this, the standard safety package also includes features like an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, front and rear disc brakes with ABS and EBD, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Panoramic Sunroof

The brand is now offering a panoramic sunroof on more variants. Specifically, the in-demand feature is now available in the Zeta (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha (O), and Alpha+ (O) variants of the SUV.

Feature Additions

The feature list of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has been extended with a few new additions. Specifically, the SUV now gets an 8-way driver-powered seat, Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Purify with PM 2.5 Display, LED Cabin Lamps, and Rear Door Sunshades.
