2025 MG Hector
JSW MG Motor India has launched the 2025 iteration of the Hector in the Indian market. The SUV has been introduced at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) without any changes in the design. However, the brand has made changes in the powertrain to make it E20 fuel compliant. This is aligned with the government's mandate for E20 compliance for fossil-fuel-powered vehicles from April 1, 2025.
The 2025 MG Hector comes with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo petrol engine is tuned to put out 142 hp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the diesel unit puts out 168 hp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic, which is only for petrol variants. Earlier, the brand had a DCT on offer, which was later discontinued.

Along with this, the SUV gets a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen system, which is one of the biggest in the segment and allows wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Uplifting the feel of the cabin is a panoramic sunroof. The list of features also includes 8-colour ambient lighting, front ventilated seats, fully-digital instrument cluster, and more.
For safety, the SUV gets a set of Level 2 ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, intelligent headlamp control, and more.
