Skoda Auto India is all set to launch the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq in India by April 2025. Showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Kodiaq is expected to come with changes concerning design, technology, and performance. The Toyota Fortuner-rivalling SUV will be available in two trims - Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). The sportier Kodiaq RS will also enter the Indian market at the end of 2025. 2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Engine & Gearbox

The new Kodiaq runs on a 2.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine which creates 190 Hp and 320 Nm of max torque. It will come paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The initial India launch of the Skoda Kodiaq will present a standard petrol variant. Sadly, we won't see the plug-in hybrid version of the SUV in the Indian market. The new Kodiaq benefits from Skoda's Dynamic Chassis Control and all-wheel-drive (AWD) option to maintain stability during diverse driving conditions.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Interior & Features

Inside, the three-row cabin features major improvements, comprising a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver display, and a toggle-type gear selector placed on the steering column. A combination of the panoramic sunroof with ventilated and heated front seats, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, and a premium music system will add to its premiumness. The SUV utilizes a new MQB Evo platform to create more space with 4,758 mm of length, making it 59 mm larger than its predecessor.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Safety

The new-gen Kodiaq boasts a strong safety suite, loaded with ADAS Level 2, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, 360-degree camera with parking assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Besides, the Skoda Kodiaq will be equipped with nine airbags, with ABS, EBD, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts coming as standard fitment across the range.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Launch Date & Price

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is expected to hit the showrooms with a sticker price of roughly Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Czech brand is currently tight-lipped about the exact launch date, but the SUV is slated to go on sale in the Indian market by April this year. Once launched, it will rivals the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson, and Nissan X-Trail.
