Tata Sierra Design Patent
Tata Motors is planning to expand its lineup of SUVs in the Indian market. The latest addition to this line of vehicles will be the Sierra, reviving a popular name from the brand's stable. To give a preview of what the vehicle will look like, the automaker showcased the model at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. Now, a design patent of the production-spec version of the vehicle has leaked online, revealing a few design details.
Based on the leaked picture, the Tata Sierra will have a boxy design with a prominent front fascia that gives it an upright stance with the illusion of having a very high bonnet. The face consists of a LED strip covering the width of the vehicle. This is complemented by piano black elements and polygonal design for the headlamps. Meanwhile, the vertically stacked fog lamps are placed lower in the body along with an air dam.

The side profile of the vehicle reveals big wheel arches with a new design for the alloy wheels. It also gets flush door handles. Furthermore, the SUV gets a straight beltline which complements the boxy design to enhance its off-road appeal. Moving toward the rear end, the SUV gets a floating roof effect reminiscent of the original Sierra.
On the inside, the Tata Sierra is expected to come packed with features. It is expected to come with a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more. For safety, the SUV will come packed with features like 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, multiple airbags, and more.
Powering the Tata Sierra ICE will likely be the brand's new 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo petrol engine. Along with this, there will be an option of a 2.0-litre diesel engine borrowed from the Harrier. Transmission options will likely include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT.
