Tesla, the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has been in the headlines for quite some time regarding its entry into the Indian market. Following this, the 2025 Model Y (facelift) has been spotted on Indian roads. Specifically, the vehicle was spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway covered in camouflage. The update is crucial as the brand's first dealership was to be opened in Mumbai, which will sell fully imported cars in the Indian market.

Chances are, the Elon Musk-led brand will first launch the Model Y in the Indian market. This seems to be the right move, as the country has seen an increasing demand for SUVs in the recent past. Furthermore, the electric car has been recently updated, making it an ideal choice to step into a new territory. Apart from this, the brand has Model 3, Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck in its lineup in the international market.

The Tesla Model Y is available with a single configuration option. To support its capabilities, the car gets an all-wheel-drive powertrain with a long-range battery. It returns an EPA-rated range of 526 km. Looking at the performance of the electric SUV, it can accelerate from a dead stop to 96 kmph in 4.6 seconds. Furthermore, the top speed is limited to 200 kmph.
Additional features available include powered seats that offer both heating and ventilation, a sound system with 15 speakers and 1 subwoofer, an 8.0-inch display for rear passengers, a hands-free trunk, 8 cameras, and various active safety technologies like Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Avoidance.

Meanwhile, the exterior design of the vehicle gets a fresh design compared to the previous iteration. It is complemented by six paint scheme options, including Pearl White, Stealth Grey, Deep Blue Metallic, Ultra Red, Quicksilver, and Diamond Black. On the inside, there are just two options- Black and White all-black.
