Triumph Speed Triple 1200 gets a three-cylinder engine
Triumph is preparing to unveil the latest iteration of the Speed Triple 1200 in the international market. Before the official event, the brand has teased the bike revealing very few details. It is to be noted that this updated version of the bike has been under development for quite some time now. The brand has likely invested the time in the bike to bring a more advanced version of the bike with significant improvements in terms of mechanics as well as features.

The design of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 is expected to be more or less the same as its previous iteration.This might be seen in the form of the twin-headlamp setup carried forward from its predecessor. Furthermore, it is expected to have a muscular fuel tank which merges with the seat to end up with a slim tail section. The brand might give the bike aesthetic upgrades with new paint scheme options and graphics.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 is also expected to get an extended list of rider aid features. The list is expected to have elements like various ride modes, traction control, and more. These will likely work with slightly upgraded mechanics. The brand is likely to bring electronically adjustable suspension. Along with it, the bike might also get better hardware for braking as seen in some of the updated bikes of the brand.

The outgoing version of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 comes with a 1160 cc liquid-cooled inline-triple cylinder engine. This unit is tuned to kick out 177.5 hp of power and 125 Nm of peak torque while revving at 9,000 rpm. It works in conjunction with a six-speed gearbox.
