After Fronx, Made In India Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-Door Reaches Japan

Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door is manufactured at the brand's facility in Gurugram, Haryana. The brand exports the SUV to almost 100 countries. It is on sale in the Indian market for a starting price of Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs 14.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It is one of the major rivals for the likes of Mahindra Thar Roxx and Force Gurkha five-door.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes with a 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine. This unit is tuned to put out 103 hp of power and 134.2 Nm of peak torque. It works with either a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT. The variant with MT returns a mileage of 16.94 kmpl while the one with AT offers a mileage of 16.39 kmpl. To support its off-road capabilities, the SUV gets a 4x4 system called AllGrip Pro.

For safety, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes loaded with features like six airbags, ABS, EBD, stability control, hill hold control, hill descent control, brake assist function, rearview camera, seatbelt pretensioner, engine immobiliser, and more.

In the Indian market, the SUV is available in Pearl Arctic White, Granite Grey, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, and Sizzling Red for monotone options. While dual-tone options include Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof and Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black Roof. The Japanese market is also likely to have same colour options.
