Sheetal Devi won a bronze medal at Paralympics 2024
Paris Paralympics 2024 was an event brimming with inspirational stories of athletes. Among these, is the story of an armless archer Sheetal Devi who became one of the finest para-archers in the world and won a medal in the mixed team compound category at the Paralympics 2024. Admiring her achievement and efforts, Mahindra Group's Chairman, Anand Mahindra promised to give her an SUV. Keeping his word, the business tycoon recently delivered a Mahindra Scorpio N to the Paralympian.
Being an avid social media user, Anand Mahindra shared the pictures of the SUV's delivery to Sheetal Devi with a post praising her. He wrote on X, "I have long admired @archersheetal's talent from afar. Meeting her in person, I was struck by her remarkable determination, tenacity, and focus." He added "Speaking to her mother and sister, it was clear that it runs in the family! She gifted me an arrow, a symbol of her identity as an archer, unbound by any limitations. Truly priceless!"

The Mahindra Scorpio N was delivered to Sheetal Devi in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir after she turned 18 recently. It is to be noted that the SUV is one of the popular SUVs in the country and comes with the options of diesel and petrol powertrain with 4x4 systems. Specifically, the SUV is based on a ladder-frame chassis with the options of a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. This unit is paired with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
It comes with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, leatherette seats, climate control, a 12-speaker sound system, connectivity features, and more. Furthermore, the safety of passengers is reinforced by features like six airbags, ABS, ESP, 360-degree camera, driver drowsiness system, TPMS, hill climb assist, driver attention warning, and more. All of this is offered at a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 24.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
