Aprilia India is planning on expanding the family of bikes with '457' moniker with the launch of the Tuono 457. The update has been confirmed with the listing of the naked sports bike on the brand's official website. It is to be noted that the upcoming machine made its debut at the EICMA in November 2024 and ever since was expected to come to India. Speculating on the subject, the reports suggest that it will be launched in the country in January 2025.
Getting into the details, '457' will be the smallest Tuono to go on sale in the Indian market placed alongside its bigger sibling the Tuono 660. Even though the Tuono 457 is a derivative of the RS457, it features a slightly less aggressive design. This can be seen in the form of the headlamp cluster with the headlight placed in the middle of two DRLs. Taking a closer look, it gets a small lip as well. All of this will be complemented by two colour options: red with black and white with silver.

Aprilia Tuono 457 is based on the same aluminium frame as the RS457. However, unlike the RS457, it offers a more relaxed and upright riding posture. The suspension duties on the bike are taken care of by preload adjustable USD front forks and monoshock at the rear end. Braking is the responsibility of the single-discs present on either end. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of features, the bike will have a TFT dashboard which will aid rider's interaction with the bike. It will also enable Bluetooth connectivity, opening doors to multiple other features. The bike will also offer riding modes, traction control, and ABS as part of the feature list.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin placed at the heart of the RS457. This unit is tuned to produce 46.6 bhp of power and 43.5 Nm of peak torque. This works in conjunction with a six-speed gearbox which gets a bi-directional quickshifter as an optional addition.
