Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the Activa e electric scooter in the Indian market. The EV was unveiled back in November 2024 along with the QC1 electric scooter. It is to be noted that these were unveiled as the 12th and the 13th electric scooter of the brand in the international market. This contributes to a bigger goal of the brand to have 30 EVs in its lineup in the global market.
Previously, the company shared its goals to attain carbon neutrality across its entire product range while also aiming for similar targets in its corporate practices by 2050. To advance this initiative, the company will focus on electrifying its motorcycles.

The Honda Activa e carries forward the name of the well-liked ICE scooter. It not only adopts the name of the scooter but also retains the body and frame of its ICE variant. However, the EV's design is completely different, embracing a more minimalist style. This is evident in the slightly different appearance of the apron, which features the LED headlamp flanked by turn indicators on both sides. Additionally, an LED DRL has been incorporated into the front of the vehicle. It appears to have a compact floorboard and an elongated seat. The rear section of the scooter displays the "Activa e:" emblem, integrated into the tail lamp assembly.
Beneath the seat, the Activa e: is equipped with a swappable battery system that contains two 1.5 kWh batteries. The energy from these batteries is directed to a wheel-side electric motor, which has a rated power output of 4.2 kW (5.6 hp). This power can be enhanced to a peak of 6.0 kW (8 hp). All these features combine to provide a range of 102 km on a single charge. The company is also introducing three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Econ.
