BMW G 310 R
BMW Motorrad has taken down the G 310 R, its most affordable roadster motorcycle in India, from its website. This comes without any prior announcement from the Bavarian giant. It is worth mentioning that the G 310 R marked the entry point in the brand's lineup alongside the G 310 RR and the G 310 GS. Even though the roadster has been discontinued, the SuperSport and the adventure motorcycle are still on sale.
The BMW G 310 R had discounts of up to Rs 50,000 before it was discontinued. If reports are to be trusted, the brand does not have any unsold inventory of the bike at the dealerships in the country.

The G 310 R had a 313 cc single-cylinder engine at its core before it was discontinued. It is tuned to produce 33 hp of power and 28 Nm of peak torque. This power is transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox. This system made the bike capable of going from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.5 seconds.
The bike also came loaded with features like full LED lighting. To help the rider interact with the machine, the brand offers a fully digital instrument cluster. For the rider's safety, it gets dual-channel ABS, along with an adjustable brake and clutch lever.
The discontinuation of the roadster is being attributed to the 310 platform underpinning the roadster. This platform was developed under a collaboration of TVS and BMW. BMW utilized these underpinnings to create the G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR, while TVS produced the Apache RTR 310 and the RR 310.
The BMW G 310 GS could be next in line to be delisted from the website as it is based on the same platform. Furthermore, the brand is planning to bring the BMW F 450 GS to the country.
