BYD Atto 3 facelift comes with design changes
BYD, the Chinese manufacturer selling electric vehicles in India has refreshed the Atto 3 with a facelift version. The EV in this avatar gets changes in design while the interiors are still under the covers. Furthermore, the automaker has made slight changes in the feature list of the vehicle. The major change is in the ADAS functionality of the vehicle. It is to be noted that the electric SUV was updated last year and first launched in India in 2022.
Starting with the appearance, the BYD Atto 3 gets a refreshed front-end with bigger outer lines for the air-dams which house slimmer air intakes contributing to a new design for the bumper. For additional improvements, the brand has added four surround-view cameras, five mm-wave radars, five long-range cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 29 sensors. With all of this, the EV is claimed to have 10 high-speed navigation scenarios and six intelligent parking modes.
The powertrain details of the BYD Atto 3 facelift have not been revealed yet. Although, it is expected to continue with the same specifications as the outgoing version. The version sold in India comes with a 60.5 kWh battery pack with a 204 hp electric motor putting out 310 Nm of torque. This version offers a WLTP range of 420 km on a single charge.
