There is no concrete launch timeline for the electric TVS motorcycle

We know that TVS Motor Company is working on an electric motorcycle but this is the first time that we are getting a glimpse of the EV patent, which reveals quite a few details. For instance, the patent diagram shows that the motorcycle will get a single-sided swingarm along with an air-cooled motor that is mounted on the chassis with the belt-fed final drive. Also, the upcoming TVS electric motorcycle will likely have two battery packs, which means that there might be a fairing on offer too.

The motorcycle could also incorporate learnings and technology from the TVS Apache RTE electric race bike, which was showcased a couple of years ago. The other highlight is the fact that the casing for the motor looks quite similar to the one found on the TVS King EV Max electric three-wheeler. That particular motor is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and has a power output of 11 kW and peak torque output of 40 Nm. Expect the electric TVS motorcycle to have more power output.

Currently, TVS has the iQube and the X in its electric portfolio but the electric motorcycle is still at least a year away, maybe more. At present, there is no word when TVS will unveil/launch its electric motorcycle. Also, the big question is whether BMW will piggyback on TVS' electric motorcycle and launch and affordable electric motorcycle of its own? It isn't entirely outside the realm of impossible.
