Mahindra XEV 9e, BE6 Waiting Period Extends Up To 6 Months

With the hike in demand of the XEV 9e and BE6, Mahindra extends the waiting period for certain variants.

Mahindra & Mahindra achieved a significant milestone in India's electric vehicle (EV) market by unveiling its all-electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE6, in November 2024. On the first day of official bookings, over 30,000 reservations were made. The demand has resulted in extended waiting periods, with deliveries scheduled to occur in phases from March to August 2025, depending on their variant, paint scheme, location, and other factors.

Delivery Timeline And Waiting Period

Mahindra has organized the deliveries of the XEV 9e and BE6 according to variant specifications, with the following timelines:

Mahindra XEV 9e:

  • Pack Three 79 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 30.50 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries commenced in mid-March 2025.
  • Pack Three Select 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 27.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from June 2025.
  • Pack Two 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 24.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from July 2025.
  • Pack One 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 21.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from August 2025.

Mahindra BE6:

  • Pack Three 79 kWh: With a starting price of 26.90 (ex-showroom), deliveries commenced in mid-March 2025.
  • Pack Three Select 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 24.50 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from June 2025.
  • Pack two 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 21.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from July 2025.
  • Pack One Above 59 kWh: With a starting price of Rs 20.50 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from August 2025.
  • Pack One 59 kWh:  With a starting price of Rs 18.90 Lakh (ex-showroom), deliveries will commence from August 2025.
The XEV 9e has 59 percent of total bookings, whereas the BE 6 accounts for 41 percent. The brand also revealed that most customers are opting for the premium "Pack Three" variant, indicating a strong interest in high-end features. The high demand has resulted in waiting periods of up to six months, especially for the entry-level variants.
