Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-Seater (Tata Safari Rival) Design Rendered: Watch

Maruti Suzuki sells the Grand Vitara to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the Tata Harrier. However, it lacks the 7-seater iteration of the Vitara, which its rivals have. The rumours have that the carmaker has been developing it and is expected to make its debut by the end of this year, fingers crossed. Although the Grand Vitara's official debut in the Indian market is still months away, the renowned digital rendering artist - Shoeb R Kalania has come up with his interaction of what the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater could look like.

The rendered design from Kalania displays an extended rear portion of the Grand Vitara accommodating space for the third-row seats. The vehicle retains a sturdy structure while displaying modern LED headlamps along with the same connected tail-lamp setup borrowed from the e-Vitara and a restyled front fascia.

A new 5-spoke V-shaped design for the alloy wheels of the SUV model can be seen, while its general side structure presents a length that surpasses the dimensions of Grand Vitara's standard 5-seat variant. Another addition is a larger quarter glass, which is commonly seen in many 7-seater SUV models.

On the inside, things will remain largely the same in terms of design, but Maruti Suzuki might offer more features on the Grand Vitara 7-seater to compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.

Initially codenamed Y 17, Maruti Suzuki has registered two new names under trademarks: Escudo and Torqnado, one of these may end up becoming the Grand Vitara 7-seater's official name.
Maruti Suzuki 7-seater Grand Vitara is officially expected to launch around the festive season of 2025 and the manufacturing process is expected to start by the third quarter of this year at the new Kharkhoda factory set up in Haryana.
