JSW MG Motor India used the opportunity at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 to showcase multiple vehicles. The list included the M9 electric MPV, which will soon be launched in the Indian market. It will be sold through the brand's MG Premium retail network and has been recently spotted at dealerships, hinting at the upcoming launch event. Here are the highlights of the upcoming electric vehicle.

MG M9: Design

The electric MPV comes with a boxy design intended to maximize interior space. To give it a unique look, the vehicle's distinctive front gets an upright front complemented by LED lights. Specifically, the front fascia features headlamps integrated into the bumper, framed by a chrome trim that extends down to the vehicle's lower section. The manufacturer has also included a faux air dam at the bottom of the MPV.

The back of the vehicle mirrors this design, featuring chrome accents and vertically oriented tail lights linked by a full-width light bar. To boost its visual appeal, the brand has incorporated some lines and contours into the rear bumper.

MG M9: Cabin

Inside, the MG M9 will offer a three-row setup with a configuration for seven seats. The second row consists of reclining seats equipped with massage functions. Loaded with amenities, the MPV will feature three-zone climate control, a touch screen panel for the second row, seat ventilation, sliding rear doors, entertainment screens, and additional features. Fur safety, it will have a host of ADAS features.

MG M9: Powertrain, Range

The MG M9 will come with a 90 kWh battery pack. This unit powers an electric motor delivering 240 hp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. With a front-wheel-drive system, it offers a claimed range of 430 km on a single charge. The battery can be juiced up using a 120 kW DC charger from 30 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.

MG M9: Rivals, Expected Price

The MG M9 will likely be priced around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market and will be sold as a CKD. Once launched, it will compete against rivals like Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival in the luxury MPV segment.
