MG took over the opportunity at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 to unveil its new lineup. It showcased the Cyberster, MG 9, and the Majestor. While all of these are on their way to the showroom floors, MG is also planning to introduce its all-new S5 EV by early 2026. But there's a catch. The all-electric SUV will first go on sale in the European market, following an Indian launch at a later stage. The MG S5 EV will replace the ZS EV in the Indian market, and here are the details you must know about this upcoming Hyundai Creta rival.
MG S5 EV: Dimensions And Designs
The MG S5 was also revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, in January. It measures 4,476 mm, is 1,849 mm wide, and stands tall at 1,621 mm. These measurements suggest that the MG S5 is quite bigger than the ZS EV. Also, the S5 gets a wheelbase measuring 2,730 mm, whereas the wheelbase of the ZS EV measures 2,585 mm. The larger dimensions indicate that the S5 will offer better cabin space and better legroom for the passengers.
The MG S5 is based on the brand's MSP model and features split LED headlamps, body-colored ORVMs, and roof rails. The rear of the S5 gives an aggressive look with an LED bar connecting the LED headlamps, at the rear.
MG S5 EV: Interior And Features
The exact interior details can not be confirmed yet. However, it is expected to come up with a larger infotainment system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS features, and more.
MG S5 EV: Battery And Powertrain
The MG S5 houses a 62 kWh battery pack joined with the rear axle-mounted electric motor, that propels a peak power and peak torque of 171 HP and 280 Nm, respectively. It is also going to offer a range of more than 500 km on a single charge.
