JSW MG Motor India has recently changed the terms and conditions of free fast charging for Windsor EV consumers who bought the vehicle on or before December 31, 2024. The changes in the document bring a limit of 1,000 units for the owners of the vehicle. Previously, there was no upper limit. It is to be noted that the new terms and conditions will come into play on February 7, 2025.

Before the update, the terms and conditions mentioned that "there could be limitations or restrictions" on the number of usable units, although no specific limit was given. The initial terms and conditions also indicated that MG had the authority to change or terminate the offer without prior notification.

The brand claims that the new policy was implemented due to increasing misuse and potential concerns regarding battery health, with the limit ensuring fair access for all MG Windsor EV owners and improving the charging experience.

The MG Windsor EV is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) if purchased without the battery pack. The subscription cost for the MG Windsor EV's battery, previously set at Rs 3.5/km, has now increased to Rs 3.9/km. Customers have the option to buy the Windsor EV with the battery included at a cost ranging from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 16 lakh.

The MG Windsor EV comes with a 38 kWh battery pack which powers a single electric motor producing 134 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The car is claimed to offer a range of up to 332 km on a single charge. In a continuously growing market, the vehicle competes against models like the Mahindra XUV400 and the Tata Nexon EV.
