The Moto Morini X-Cape 700 made its global debut at EICMA 2024 and now the company has revealed the technical specifications of the new motorcycle, whose deliveries will begin in June 2025. Now, the displacement on the motorcycle grows from 649 cc to 693 cc, with a 4 mm longer stroke. The parallel-twin engine now gets lighter pistons and a new free-flow exhaust. The motor makes 70 hp at 8,500 rpm along with peak torque output of 68 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle has a claimed top speed of 170 kmph. The 6-speed gearbox now gets a slip and assist clutch as standard.
The steel trellis frame and the Aluminium swingarm stay as it is and the motorcycle continues to get a 19-inch wheel up front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. Customers can choose from either alloys or spoked rims. In terms of braking, the X-Cape 700 gets twin 298 mm discs with 2-piston floating callipers and a single 255 mm disc at the rear, with a 2-piston calliper. There is a Bosch ABS system on offer too, where the ABS on the rear wheel can be disconnected. The motorcycle is suspended on 50 mm Marzocchi fully adjustable USD fork up front, with a travel of 175 mm. At the rear is a Kayaba monoshock, with adjustment for preload and rebound and travel of 165 mm.
In terms of features, the motorcycle gets 2 USB type A ports along with USB type C ports and the same 7-inch TFT instrument console from before, with better graphics. Then the motorcycle also gets Bluetooth connectivity, tyre pressure monitoring system and on-screen map navigation.
The bodywork along with the design sees subtle updates as well, by way of new panels and graphics. The motorcycle weighs in at 213 kg, which is the same as before. Now, the X-Cape 650 is on sale in India too and there is an outside possibility of the X-Cape 700 being launched in India as well.
