The new teaser gives a hint at the design of the new gen Compass
Jeep is preparing the next-generation Compass SUV for its global debut in Europe. Before the official event, the brand initiated the process of building up anticipation for the vehicle with the release of a teaser, slowly revealing details of the upcoming model. Specifically, the latest teaser hints at what the vehicle will look like in its new generation avatar. The first teaser of this series was released back in October 2024, showing a dark image of the vehicle.
Diving into the details, the first of the teasers showcased the upright stance of the vehicle, while the latest teaser shows slight details of the front fascia and rear end of the vehicle. The image gives hints at the design of the headlamp and the grille of the new generation of the SUV. It confirms that the vehicle will carry the seven-slat grille seen on Jeep SUVs. However, the design is different compared to the outgoing version of the SUV. This will be complemented by sleeker rectangular headlights housing projector units.

To further improve the appeal of the vehicle, the rear end of the new-gen Jeep Compass has also been revised. It now comes with a split light guide design with a layout that seems to have the indicator position in the middle of the unit. It is worth mentioning that this unit also has a polygonal shape with straight lines, just like the headlamp unit. Furthermore, chances are the D-pillar of the SUV might be darkened out to give the SUV a different look.
It is to be noted that the production of the SUV based on the STLA Medium platform is scheduled to begin in Italy this year. This might influence the size of the SUV, which is expected to be bigger than the outgoing version. This might result in more space in the cabin, which is also likely to get revisions in terms of layout and list of features.
The new-gen Jeep Compass is expected to get a hybrid powertrain and an electric version. Presently, the SUV is sold in the Indian market with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is paired with either a 6-speed MT or a 9-speed AT.
