Kia is working on the development of the next-generation Seltos. The mid-size SUV popular in the Indian market has been spotted testing multiple times in its home market as well as the domestic market. Now, fresh spy shots of a test mule spotted in South Korea reveal a new design for the headlamp which seems to be following the latest design language of the brand. Although covered in camouflage the SUV seems to be loaded which changes in terms of design.
Diving into the details, the next generation of the Kia Seltos comes with an LED headlamp with a new lighting pattern. The lights in the cluster seem to be vertically oriented which is very different from the horizontal orientation of the outgoing version in India. The front fascia of the vehicles also seems to have illuminated vertical slats. Meanwhile, the rear end of the vehicle also gets a new tail lamp setup. These lights are connected by an LED strip covering the width of the vehicle.

Along with this, the SUV seems to be equipped with dual-tone alloy wheels, with a silhouette very similar to the outgoing version. Furthermore, the SUV is based on the platform used in the outgoing version. Hence, it is likely to have similar dimensions.
The brand is expected to make changes to the cabin of the SUV as well. These changes might come in the form of a new layout for the dashboard with different colours for the upholstery. Along with this, the brand might extend the list of features to make the SUV more appealing for consumers.
When launched in the Indian market, the next-generation Kia Seltos will likely carry forward the engine options available in the outgoing version. These options are 1.5-litre NA petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine. If rumours are to be trusted, the SUV in the international market might get a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.6-liter petrol engine supported by an electric motor placed on the rear axle.
