Ola Electric, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market has commenced the deliveries of its S1 Pro Gen 3 range of EVs. The electric scooter was launched in the country on January 31 with the deliveries scheduled to begin in February. However, the deliveries were pushed because of certain delays. Before we start with the details, it is to be noted that the price of the range of EVs starts from Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

The latest lineup of the S1 series includes a total of eight models: the S1 Pro+, S1 Pro, S1X+, and S1X, each offered with multiple battery pack options. Ola Electric's newly developed Gen 3 platform is said to provide optimal performance, efficiency, safety, and reliability. Talking about the technical specifications, the Gen 3 series features a new mid-drive motor and chain drive, along with an integrated MCU (Motor Control Unit) designed to enhance range and efficiency.

The S1 Pro+ Gen 3 can be equipped with either a 5.3 kWh or a 4 kWh battery pack. The 5.3 kWh option provides an IDC range of 320 km, whereas the 4 kWh version offers a range of 242 km. The S1 Pro Gen 3 comes with two battery choices: a 4 kWh pack that delivers a range of 242 km and a 3 kWh pack with a range of 176 km.

The S1 Pro+ Gen 3 variants are powered by a 13 kW electric motor. With the 5.3 kWh battery pack, it can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.1 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 141 km/h. On the other hand, with the 4 kWh battery pack, the manufacturer claims a 0 to 40 km/h acceleration time of 2.3 seconds, with a maximum speed of 128 km/h. The S1 Pro Gen 3 models are fitted with an 11 kW electric motor, achieving 0 to 40 km/h in 2.7 seconds. However, the top speed is limited to 125 km/h with the 4 kWh battery and reduces to 117 km/h when using the 3 kWh battery pack.
