Royal Enfield Scram 440 comes with five paint scheme options
Royal Enfield has launched the Scram 440 in the Indian market. The bike made its debut at the Motoverse 2024 and will be sold at a starting price of Rs 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes as the successor of the Scram 411 in the best sense of the word. We say so because the bike brings multiple upgrades over its predecessor in terms of powertrain and features. Here are all the details you need to know about the bike.

Chassis
Starting with the basics, Royal Enfield has upgraded the chassis of the bike. The strength of the half-duplex split cradle frame has been increased by the brand to support the off-roading capabilities. Furthermore, the bike can now be equipped with a top box, which was not possible with the Scram 411.

Engine
In the list of changes, the biggest of all is the inclusion of a relatively bigger engine. This unit has a displacement of 443 cc. To achieve this, the brand has used a 3 mm larger bore. All of it results in a power output of 25.4 hp and 34 Nm of peak torque, which is slightly more than the output on Scram 411. It comes with a 6-speed transmission.

Design
Although the Royal Enfield Scram 440 looks a lot like the Scram 411, certain changes set it apart. To begin with, the bike gets an LED headlight which is the same unit that the brand has used on multiple other models. Along with it, the bike is offered in five new paint schemes: Trail Green, Trail Blue, Force Teal, Force Grey, and Force Blue.

Alloy Wheels
To complete the evolution from Scram 411 to Scram 440, the brand has extended the list of features. This can be seen in the form of the inclusion of alloy wheels which are wrapped in tubeless tyres. However, the consumers also have the option of getting wire-spoke wheels with tube tyres as the alloys are only available on the top-of-the-line Force variant.

Price
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Scram 411 was priced at Rs 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom), while the most expensive variant came at Rs 2.12 lakh (ex-showroom).
