Skoda Auto India Signs Actor Ranveer Singh As First-Ever Brand Ambassador
Ranveer Singh is Skoda Auto India's first-ever brand ambassador
Skoda Auto India is working on expanding its presence in the mass market in the country. To achieve this goal, the brand has signed Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its first-ever brand ambassador. This comes at a time when the brand has achieved a significant milestone of completing 23 years in the Indian market. Furthermore, this is right after the launch of the automaker's first sub-4m SUV in the country in the form of the Kylaq.

Commenting on the partnership, Ranveer Singh said, "I am thrilled to be Skoda Auto India's first-ever brand superstar. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to excellence, and I look forward to contributing to the growth of Skoda Auto in India."

With this partnership, the brand is aiming to improve its position in India through people-centric campaigns. To mark the beginning of this partnership, the first advertisement featuring Ranveer Singh with the Kylaq SUV is set to premiere soon.

It is to be noted that the Skoda Kylaq is on sale in the country and comes at a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV comes in four trim levels: Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige.

The SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This unit is tuned to produce 113 hp of power and 178 Nm of peak torque. The power is transferred to the wheels using a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Skoda Kylaq SUV stands among the safest cars in India with a 5-star rating. This safety comes from features like six airbags, ABS, electronic brake distribution, stability control, traction control, TPMS, rear parking sensors, hill hold control, and more on the list. All of this makes the SUV a suitable rival for models like Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and others in the same segment.
