Skoda, the Czech automaker, has experienced a remarkable 73.9 percent year-over-year growth in January 2025. Though there was a decline in the MoM sales, Skoda has shown positive growth in the market share figure.
Skoda sold a total of 2377 units in January 2024, which has now increased to 4133 units in January 2025. This hike in sales is calculated as a 73.9 percent growth in the company's YoY sales. Contributing to this growth is the launch of the Kylaq SUV. This is the brand's latest model made for the Indian market. To be sold in the sub-4m category, the SUV comes at a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

There is a 9.24 percent decline in the sales of Skoda cars if we compare the figures of January 2025 and December 2024. Skoda sold 4133 units in January 2025, which is less by 421 units compared to the units sold in December 2024. Skoda sold 4554 units in December, last year.
Even after a slight decline in the sales units from December 2024, Skoda has shown positive signs in its market share. The market share of Skoda was 0.60 percent in January 2024, which has now grown to 1.03 percent. This accounted for the 0.4 percent increase in Skoda's market share.
Skoda has multiple models in its lineup in the Indian market. The list includes the Kushaq in the mid-size SUV segment, the Slavia representing the brand in the sedan segment competing against models like Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus, and the Kodiaq in the premium segment.
