Tata Motors left its impact at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 with the unveiling of the Sierra. While the brand revealed the exterior design of the upcoming SUV, most interior details were kept under wraps. However, it was bound to be revealed at some point, and now it has arrived. The Indian automaker has filed a design patent securing the rights for the dashboard layout of the upcoming, and here are all the details.

Starting with the basic layout, the highlight of the setup is the presence of a dual-screen setup. It consists of a fully digital dashboard for the driver paired with a horizontally oriented touchscreen infotainment system. The latter will provide access to features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The brand has placed the push start/stop button on the right side of the dashboard with a rotary dial under it.

The design patent also reveals the steering wheel's design. It gets the same four-spoke unit with a backlit steering screen displaying the logo of the brand which has also been used in other models. Additionally, this design patent misses out on the passenger screen, which was present on the version showcased at the expo.

The brand has yet to confirm the launch date of the Tata Sierra. Once launched, the SUV will revive one of the iconic nameplates that marked its presence in the Indian market. To carry this legacy, it features a few design similarities reminiscent of the older model. However, all of it is in accordance with the modern design language of the automaker.

Under the hood, the Tata Sierra is expected to have a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with the option of a 2.0-liter diesel engine. It is worth mentioning that the petrol engine engine will make its debut with the Sierra, while the diesel engine has been already employed on models like Harrier, Safari, and Curvv.
