
Triumph, the British motorcycle manufacturer partnered with Bajaj in 2020. Since then Bajaj has been helping Triumph for the development of India-specific models. Under the collaboration, Triumph has already launched the Speed 400, Speed T4, and the Scrambler 400X in the Indian market. However, the brand is looking to further expand its portfolio with a new motorcycle. On that note, a test mule of the Triumph Thruxton has been spotted testing. Yes, the British bike manufacturer is readying the Cafe Racer on the 400cc platform. And, here are all the details you must check out about the Triumph Thruxton 400.
Triumph Thruxton 400: Engine And Powertrain
The exact powertrain specifications of the Triumph Thruxton 400 are not known yet. However, it will come with a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We have already seen this setup on other Triumph motorcycles, and we expect it to generate a peak power and torque output of 40 bhp and 38 Nm, respectively.

Triumph Thruxton 400: Hardware And Features
The test mule of the Triumph Thruxton 400 was spotted recently and that too without camouflage. The engine holds a 'Triumph' nameplate and the overall design gives it a retro appeal. Triumph is also keen on providing a more sportier riding posture, with clip-ons, and rear-set footpegs. The test mule also carried bar end rear view mirrors, which will likely be a standard fitment.
The front part of the Thruxton carries a round-shaped headlamp with an 'X' motif. It features a single-piece seat with a single-piece pillion grab rail at the rear. The 17-inch alloy wheels get tubeless tyres and are held together via a USD fork at the front and a rear monoshock. The test mule carries the same old semi-digital instrument cluster.
Triumph Thruxton 400: Expected Price And Launch
As per estimates, the Triumph Thruxton will be launched in India in the second half of 2025. The exact price detail is not revealed yet, however, it is likely to fall under the Rs 2.50 lakh -Rs 2.80 lakh bracket.
