8 killed after tempo plunges from bridge

Bangalore: Eight persons were killed and 14 injured after a goods tempo in which they were travelling fell off a bridge near Sathanur in the neighbouring Ramanagara district yesterday, police said.

Ramanagara Superintendent of Police Anupam Agarwal told PTI in Bangalore that the victims were returning after a temple visit.

Police sources said the victims belonged to Nagadevanahalli near Kengeri on Bangalore outskirts. The injured were hospitalised.
